The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 increased the federal energy reduction goal from 2% per year to 3% per year resulting in 30% greater efficiency by 2015, and encourages state and local governments to follow suit. Allen & Shariff Engineering is prepared to take on the growing energy reduction market by providing energy audits, building & system commissioning, retro-commissioning, building evaluations, energy modeling, and life cycle analysis.
Allen & Shariff Engineering has just been pre-qualified to provide Commissioning for LEED Certification & Acceptance of Equipment, Third Party Plans Review and Construction Inspections for the Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization (OPEFM). The estimated cost of the 15-year modernization campaign is approximately $3.5 billion. The office also will now manage all maintenance for the school system.
