Allen & Shariff has recently complete design of the Safe Haven Animal Shelter with David Quillin, AIA. This 19,000 square foot animal sanctuary is targeting LEED Silver and incorporates passive solar design, Structurally Insulated Panels (SIP) made from whet by products, geothermal system with radiant floor, motorized window incorporated with the building control system, a green roof, rain systems tied in to the power wash system and many other green design elements. The project bid in January and is awaiting final USDA grant approval.
